Harare Magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi will on Tuesday 01 September 2009 deliver a ruling on an application for refusal of remand filed by four Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) leaders, who are accused of participating in a gathering with intent to promote public violence, breach of peace or bigotry.

27 August 2008 Chipinge Magistrates Court Mathias Mlambo the MDC-T MP for Chipinge East appeared in the Chipinge Magistrates Court before magistrate Rungano on a charge of public violence. It was alleged that on 10 April 2008 at Daisy Hill, an area in the constituency, Mlambo committed acts of public violence in concert with other 40 MDC-T supporters. Mathias Mlambo the MDC-T MP for Chipinge East The prosecutor, Mr. Dhliwayo, vigorously opposed bail but Mlambo was subsequently granted $5 000 bail with stringent conditions to report every two weeks at the nearest police station. He was remanded to the 10th of September 2008.
29 August 2008 Bindura Magistrate Court Bednock Nyaude, the MDC-T MP for Bindura South  appeared at the Bindura Magistrates court facing charges of contravening section 36 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act (public violence) that arose on 15 May 2008. Bednock Nyaude Nyaude was granted bail but the state has since invoked section 121 of the CPEA.
